Underrail - Upcoming Falloutstyle RPG

Post by nackidno »

Just wanted the peeps here on the forums to know that there's a really fine RPG coming up called Underrail, it's pretty much a turnbased isometric RPG in the style of Fallout, it's set in the underground complex known as the underrail and its a large connection of metrostations.

It is a somewhat down to earth game, no high fantasy stuff but it does include "magic" known as psi abilities, which is caused by a mutation in the brain, enabling people (and animals) to manipulate temperature, the minds of others and various other cool stuff.

It's not that fleshed out since it's basicly a tech demo, but the basic idea is solid, and the few hour long alpha (that is available) is pretty fun and is well worth a try.

Looks interesting. Too bad it's Windows only.

Glad I saw your remark first before checking it out. I'll do that later just to see but no Mac, no interest. :)

Yeah the reason why it's not for linux or mac is because it's written in XNA (C#) which only works on Windows, natively that is, there are ways to port it and you could use a virtual machine (like virtualbox) to run it using an emulated version of windows.
