the Thief Series (stealth game)

i recently saw in gameinformer that Square Enix (SE) is coming out with a new stealth game called "thief" (always so creative).

i love SE, in fact Final Fantasy Tactics is what first got my interested in turn based games, and probably played a huge role in my eventual playing of eschalon. after some research, i discovered that the new thief game is in fact the fourth. (Im an ignorant bastard )

i used to think i only liked SE because of FF, but after playing titles such as Deus Ex: Human Revolutions i know that SE has a lot more to offer. i am going to attempt to get the first 3 thief games running on my Mac (laptop), but if it wont work i will break and run em on my Desktop (winxp/7)

im sure this is all interesting, but doesn't warrant a new topic.

what i was wondering, was if anyone has tried any of the 3 existing thief games, or is planning on getting the new one coming out.

The Thief Series is great. Thief 2 is one of the very best stealth games ever made. I will likely get Thief 4 when it comes out, but not until I read reviews and such, and likely not until it hits a Steam sale or something ($50 or $60 is just too much for me to spend).

As an aside, Thief isn't so much an RPG. I'm not sure this is the correct section for this.

thanks for the recommendation i was aware its not an RPG, but i really wasn't sure where to put it other than here. ive been coming more and more to respect/rely on this site for most things related to gaming and trust what you guys have to say

on a side note - i picked up Dwarven Fortress after hearing about it on here, it is hard, and fun. (after an hour or so i figured out how to stockpile!!) im gonna keep grinding at it
