As a fellow indie developer, I'm real pleased with Basilisk's games. Bought Book I, working on Book II, plan to buy them all. Best indie stuff in my opinion. Keep rocking, Basilisk! Wondering what folks think of my own upcoming game, 7 years in the making and soon to be released, check it out:

Hardest thing I ever did in my like making it. I hope I'm not getting too old for this! :D

I love turn-based RPGs. Kudos to you. Can't wait to hear you have the game ready to go.

OMG, big fonts! Finally a developer who appreciates older people. This is beautiful, such a pleasant, gut warming feeling of Ultima nostalgia. Oh, so lovely, I bookmarked your site. Definitely please keep updating on:

I voted for turn-based on the Torment campaign. Fallout 1-2, SSI Golden Box series, Knights of the Chalice forever!!!

And I thought I was crazy to begin develop my own turn-based brawler RPG. I see others are committed too.

Yes - big fonts! I'm thinking of all the notebooks out there. Madman will run on almost anything, although optimized for wide screens. Here are two brand new game play trailers! Just up today:

I forgot to mention there's some play through videos appearing on youtube to give an idea how it plays.
Thank god for Basilisk Games! They really did inspire me to make this! It was so, so, so much work. I just can't think of anything
harder than making a complete game from scratch and getting it to all work out! Here's the youtube links:

From the lost mind of the guy who made the ULTIZURK games! (google it)...!

With too many games out there, why make another old-fashioned,
retro style rpg that simply re-does what has already been
done to death? Something a little different must be done if
you're a one-man basement operation. With that in mind, here's
the actual feature list from the original design paper:

- No bugs! Unless you include the ones in the swamp.
- No elves or dwarves!
- No dragons or wars or orc invasions!
- No evil wizard's to kill.
- Interactive world. Think Ultima VII.
- The ultimate in costumer support!
- A developer that actually listens to feedback.
(Check above on the RPG codex)

I'll tell you a secret! I noticed something since its release,
which I consider a limited release until it hits steam:

Madman is for the ladies. I'm getting feedback to the effect
that the women out there really like the unique tale that
madman tells. Not quite so much with the guys. Not sure why,
but 'tis the truth. I think its because its a little bit
of a tear-jerker; a love song in spite of itself.
