Basilisk Games Announces the availability of Eschalon: Book I for Linux

Indianapolis, Ind. — December 21, 2007 — Basilisk Games, Inc. today announced the availability of Eschalon: Book I for Linux.

“Today we are very excited to announce that Eschalon: Book I is now available for Linux based computers,” said Thomas Riegsecker, Lead Developer of Eschalon: Book I. “Linux is an exceptional operating system and Basilisk Games is dedicated to supporting this alternative OS.”

Eschalon: Book I is the first in a trilogy of role-playing games designed to have a play style similar to classic RPGs of the 80’s and 90’s. With a focus on a single-player storyline, statistically driven character development and turn-based combat, Eschalon: Book I features a style of gameplay rarely seen in anymore commercial games.

About Eschalon: Book I
Eschalon: Book I is a classic role-playing game experience that will take you across massive outdoor environments and deep into sprawling dungeons as you seek to uncover the mystery of who- or what- you are. The Linux release now joins the previously released Windows and Macintosh editions. More information on the game and links to the demo can be found online at http://basiliskgames.com/book1.htm
