I'm planning to install Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Edition (as soon as I free up some disk space  ) and I've been checking around if my games will be compatible with it.

Well, does anybody know if Eschalon: Book I will run on Windows 7 64-bit? I suppose it will, but I want to be sure.

Thanks for your help.

Yep, it runs perfectly fine on Windows 7 64-bit -- but it is not a native 64-bit application.

I installed Windows 7 and the game.
I lost my overclock (RivaTuner doesn't work anymore  ) and the game's Performance Rating now gets to 15 (it was at 6 or 7 before)!
Still, the game runs at 60 FPS at high visual settings.

Have you tried switching between OpenGL and DirectX modes?

Also make sure you've downloaded the absolute newest drivers from ATI/Nvidia, as the ones that filter through Windows Update are generally several months behind.

Currently, I get a PR of 3 with either mode (Windowed), but I've seen a few hardware/driver configurations that show big differences between OGL and DX.

Thanks for reminding me!

Now in OpenGL the Performance Rating is lower (between 1 and 6, but it sometimes raises and reaches 10) but the mouse is a bit laggy.

The framerate switches back and forth between 59, 60, and 61.

Thanks again, but I don't know which rendering mode I'll use!
