Typos?

Post by moldar »

So, I noticed a typo and figured that I would list it here.

When talking to Eleanor in the first small town, the word "abandoned" is spelled "aboandoned" in one of the player's choices.

I think I saw a few other typos and will add to the list if I can remember to.

Thanks for a cool game!

Damn you Moldar for pointing out our mistakes!

Okay, so you people can just pile the typos in this thread and we will fix them in the first patch.

Thanks!

I must admit that I am a spelling-nazi.

Also, in someone's text - I think it was Eleanor, did you mean to call Maddock "codgery"? I think someone calls him "congerly" or something.

I'll have to see if I can get that text again on another re-start perhaps.

:)

Edit:

Another:
Talking to Maddock and asking "Where am I" results in the word "villiage" being used, instead of the typical "village."

And another: Tharemore vs Thaermore when asking Abygale about Grimmhold

More: Scroll of Dancing lights - Description says "to be effective" at the end - missing the word "to"

And another still: Talking to Mary about being robbed- "Not more that 2 days ago" should be "Not more than 2 days ago"

At the start of the game, once you reach the first village, Speaking to Elanor the Councilor and saying "I woke up in an abandoned house southwest..." to her will encourage her to say something which ends like this:

"Porter, the owner the Owls Roost Tavern sells miscellaneous supplies"

Needs 'of' inserted after owner.

In the book A History of Thaermore, at the top of page 3, it says, "...and has a counsel of twelve advisors, known as The Grand Scholars, serve with him."

"Counsel" should be "council."

Also, possibly, "who serve with him." The current grammar might technically work, but it's awkward.

Will report back with more if I run across them. ^_^ Having fun with the demo so far!

Ok - another few typos to include when you start working on 1.02:

Talking to Paul in the Salted Coast: "incrimiate" instead of "incriminate"

Same conversation: legitamate instead of legitimate

The Salted Coast is called the Salty Coast in one of the quest journal entry.

(cannot remember which one right now... will update tonight when back home with the game running)

Sometimes "obscured" is spelled as "obscurred." I think it's when you try to cast a ranged spell at a monster behind an object--in any case, it's when the text is light orange-ish.

In the conversation with Eleanor in Aridell, the following conversation options appear at various points: "Thanks for YOU time" and "May I ask you SOMETING else?"

Maddock at one point refers to an UNIVITED visitor.

The character title "Bezerker" should be "Berserker."

Perhaps it's a leftover from beta, but in the shortcuts window it reads:

Q Quest Journal Toggle

Not exactly a typo, but could stand to be corrected.

In North Parish, the Crypt guy says "His skin is pale and sickly as if hasn't seen sunlight in years."

It should say "His skin is pale and sickly as if he/it hasn't seen sunlight in years."

In/around the guy with the crypt key you have 'benieth' (instead of beneath). Actually it would be a bunch easier to just run the whole thing through a spell checker (with the added words in the dictionary), No?

That would catch some errors, but it wouldn't catch left out words, or misspelled words that are actually real words, such as "you" for "your" etc.
