(This update isn't really "news" to many of you Pub regulars, but we have had enough small updates recently to warrant a new front page post)

A quick update for all of you who stop by daily wanting just a morsel of new information:

- Book II is in full development over the holidays with plans to run some early alpha testing in January. Everyone always asks if we are still "on schedule" with development. The answer is yes, though with a lot of work still to do we have no solid estimates on a release date yet.

- We are working on several new articles that will run on a major website in the next few weeks, which will include brand new screenshots and fresh information about the storyline and gameplay of Book II.

- We have been working with a new artist to apply some additional polish to the next game. We'll try to show you a glimpse of his work in a future update. Some of his previous work has been with Daggerfall, Morrowind and Dark Age of Camelot.

- One of our forum members have translated the recently posted Monster Profile pages into French, which is the start of our goal to provide Book II in multiple languages. We will get these new French translations posted very soon.

Oh, and just for kicks, we updated the Book II logo for the holidays which also happens to reflect the new arctic zones of Book II.

yep i'm one of those who usually just stops by the news page looking for updates. good to hear about the articles and the artist helping (cant wait to see the new screes shots).

Okay, I can now announce that RPGVault will be running a series of "Peek" articles over the next 6-8 weeks for Book II. First up (sometime in the next week or so) we are going to re-visit the topic of "rules and challenges" with 2 new screenshots that explain how we decided to handle this. I'll post a News article linlk when RPGVault posts the first article.

BW you must enjoy making us sweat for every little morsel of information about Book II. And yet I keep checking in every day to look! Thanks for the update.

Wow, I can honestly say I'm surprised Rpgvault will be doing the sneak peaks....not saying that its a bad thing, just thought they were gone now, I haven't been there in so long.

Maybe you're thinking of RPGDot? RPGVault is part of IGN's network and they've been around for a while. The good thing about them is that the articles they run get propagated over all their networks, so it's really a lot of coverage from just one site.

Holy hell, you could afford it?

Heh, we really couldn't. We were able to work out a deal that allowed us to have him redesign a creature from Book I that is returning to Book II, as well as design the Dwarves of the Northland Expanse (keepers of Hammerlorne Mine). We are essentially borrowing from Book II's future profits to make the game as awesome as possible.

Quite a gamble, hope it pays off!

A creature? As in it appeared only once in book 1? Hmmm am I reading to much into this?

I'm sure there are alot of artists out there looking for work, I hope this guys isn't asking a lot, and if he is I hope he is worth it.
