Any Jethro Tull fans out there?
Any Jethro Tull fans out there?
I was just wondering if any of my fellow Eschalon addcits out there are into a bit of Jethro Tull?
If you have never heard of Jethro Tull, I suggest you check out the albums "Songs from the woods", "Minstrels in the Gallery" and "Warchild"

Re: Any Jethro Tull fans out there?
I'm not really a fan, but I like Jethro Tull (especially Aqualung and Stormwatch) because of the mix folk/rock like in Malicorne, Folque etc.
I also enjoy King Crimson and John Renbourn.

I ripped the full album version of Thick as a Brick into my iTunes and merged the two sides in Garage Band so I could hear the full 45 minutes without interruption. That might make me a demented fan.

I've been a fan ever since they released Aqualung. Guess that shows that I've been around awhile.

Damn, I wish I had more time to browse these forums
farvardin, Stormwatch is one of the few albums I don't own, and I can't seem to find it anywhere. That and Catfish Rising.

Not sure where in the world you're at, but Amazon.com has Stormwatch remastered for sale.
http://www.amazon.com/Stormwatch-Jethro ... 355&sr=1-1
Also, they have Catfish Rising

I was able to see them live during the tour after they released Stormwatch, I think it was early 1980. It was a lot of fun and a great concert. The stage was a ships deck and Ian was all over the place during the performance.
Hope this helps you get the albums.

Wow! I had almost forgotten JT!
Ian and his breathy flute seem a lifetime away, but then I suppose it is actually more than that for some of the members of this board. I loved their music, and saw them many times, mainly in any big local pubs around Essex. They were often backed by a pretty decent band called 'Blodwyn Pig' - anyone out there remember them???
...ahhhh... ...I've come over all nostalgic...
