Bug and Error compendium
Re: Bug and Error compendium
I found a funny animation bug:
I tried to imbue my bow a fourth time, and that destroyed it. So far, so good, but the optical representation wasn't updated, the player sprite was still holding his bow.
Functionality-wise, the weapon is gone, I tried attacking someone, and he attacked with bare hands, which looked quite funny, boxing some townguard still with a bow in his hand.
A quick try shows that the same happens with swords, so it's weapon-independent.

I don´t think this small spelling mistake has been mentioned before:
In the Hammerlorne Mine, Level 3, there is a sign saying: "No admittance beyond this point without propper authority."

Didn't notice anyone reporting this:
If you throw away torches, your encumbrance does not get updated. It updates only after you pick up a new torch. /Edit: Or apparently do anything else that affects encumbrance.

Dodged point-blank shots make archers off-balance.

Well, if the archer is firing point blank, maybe you dodged right into him.Edrïn wrote:Dodged point-blank shots make archers off-balance.

The coordinates of this point are X = 61, Y = 74 in the map Greenriver Lake.Dragonlady wrote:There were a number of these in the beta test, finding all of them was not possible. Take a screen shot and send it in or (at least on my Mac) hold the 'Tab' key down and a grid should show up with co-ordinates where the arrow pointer is. Move the pointer to the blood splot and write down the coordinates and post them so BW can check it out.Edrïn wrote:I killed a dragonfly flying over water. And I got a blood stain over water...
Not realy a bug, but that's quite weird !
It happened over the "great lake" or something, in the center of which there are two of them.
Re: Bug and Error compendium
In a thread on the Book II forum called "Completion score...", iamrichard posted a screenshot of his final score page. I see a bug there.
For the stat, "Kills made using Magic", it says "632 (0%)" I believe it should say 97% instead. That would be 632 out of 651 total kills.

Is there any way you can filter out the bugs that were fixed in 1.02? That would help me tremendously.Drixx wrote:Got hectic the last couple days ... will try to update post 1 in the morning.

Re: Bug and Error compendium
Compare those 2 items, available at the same time in Keebo's shop:
Bronze Dart
Category: Thrown Weapons
Base Damage: 4
Weight: 0.2 lb
Value: 1
Merchant's Cost: 2
Stone
Category: Thrown Weapons
Base damage: 1
Weight: 0.3 lb
Value: 1
Merchant's Cost: 2
There were 27 of each type available. Which one would you buy? Not a real issue, but I assume it wasn't intended like this and that the darts should have been more expensive.

No, both are really cheap, but I don't think BW's engine can set a fractional price, so the cheapest anything can ever be is 1 gold.

Re: Bug and Error compendium
You misread/misunderstand. The dart has a base damage of 4, so I would expect the price to be more in line with an item like this:
Copper Throwing Knife
Category: Thrown Weapons
Base Damage: 4
Weight: 0.5 lb
Value: 3
Merchant's Cost: 5

Re: Bug and Error compendium
The actual problem is that Stones should be more damaging. All thrown items in Book II produce more damage (making them more useful) than they did in Book I.
Stones should probably have a base damage of 3.
I've also adjusted cost of darts.
I'll update this for the 1.03 patch.

As far as I can tell, everything in this thread has been fixed as of version 1.03.
In order to keep organized here, I am locking this thread. Start a new thread for any further problems.
