Unfortunately, there is no key. I recommend using a couple of burglar´s gloves (+2 lockpicking) and having a backpack full of lockpicks

Oh, and believe me when I say the treasure is worth the effort and broken picks :D

A high lvl lockmelt spell also works [tested only with lvl 6].
That tree stump is trapped by demon oil effect so be careful.

It's a level 9 difficulty lock so it's 80% harder than a level 1 difficulty lock (rusted damaged lock).

1% is always your minimum chance of doing something.

When I first attempted it, I didn't realize I could walk out of the fire and let it die down. So when I actually picked the lock in 4 tries, I "reached in" to get the loot and DIED! And now, of course, I've tried 100 times and can't get it to open, lol.

I'll try again when I have the lockpick gloves or a higher lock-melt skill. I seem to be making money okay now, so no rush to reap the treasure chest rewards.

Tree Stump Treasure - WHERE IS IT?

Post by ZoeyJeanne »

I am so tired of looking for this thing. I have the map, and I found the area depicted on the map, but I can't find the stupid treasure. Someone please help! :?

Head straight north from the north rock and keep going past the first few trees. Think map scale since if you count the number of paces between the rocks and multiply by the arrows on the treasure map you will see that you have more to go.

I have to admit, based on the topics I saw regarding this, I was really excited to get that thing open xD

When I finally did, I was a bit disappointed. I'm not going to spoil it though for those who haven't yet opened it.
