Hi

Maybe a silly/general question so I place it in here: I can't enter Westwillow anymore. I did already finish the game (using the windows client) and can't remember any quest which I maybe have missed. Perhaps this is a issue in the linux client?

Some suggestions?

This might be Linux related. I am moving this to the Linux Support thread.

Ironpool Dam level 2, yes? I couldn't enter Westwillow in the first place.

Ubuntu 10.04, 32-bit.

My Linux install has exactly the same symptoms - I cannot enter Westwillow, "There's nothing more in that direction". Initially I thought this was one of the areas for the possible future expansion... but it seems it isn't?

It is fixed.

This happens to be a really nasty little problem with Linux and BlitzMax- the system cannot read filenames with capital letters. The script for entering Westwillow calls for the game to load "Westwillow" (notice the capital 'W'). So, this command fails for practically everyone using Linux, but not Mac or Win.

Since this fix involves a change to a map (because the script is embedded in the map file) you will need to wait for the full release of 1.04 to get this proper fix. Furthermore, since previously visited maps are cached in the saved game folder, you will need to either start a new game to see the fix, or you need to reset the map "Ironpool Dam, Lower Level" in your current game if you've already visited this level. I'll post formal instructions on how to do this after 1.04 is available.

Nevermind, BW. Looking forward to "hack" the map ;)

Thanks for releasing and maintaining a version for all of us "non-mainstream users"

Which version of Linux are you using? It is entirely possible that this issue affects only certain versions.
