For any Indy game dev's

If anyone is thinking of creating your own game, here is an interesting site that gives recomendations on cheap alternatives for Tool's software.

I am starting on my own game, which may or may not ever get done, but I didnt realize how expensive all the needed tools were!

Excellent link. I can confirm that some of those programs have been used during various points in Eschalon's development. Furthermore, there are lots of programs listed there that would benefit any user, not just developers.

Thanks Saxon1974!

And if by some chance, you are trying your hand at your own game and don't have http://forums.indiegamer.com/ bookmarked, you really should check their forums out; they really try to keep a high signal to noise ratio, and a lot of experienced indies hang out there.
