I think the 2011 game I am looking forward to the most is Crysis 2.

I just finished DA:O... I didn't realize until maybe a week ago that they'd tricked me with the %-completed thing... that it's referring to all the dl content... grr... . But still, if it'd gone on for much longer I probably would've turned against it in exhaustion. Not too bad an ending.

Now I'm off to finish Eb2 (finally  ), then to finish Avernum 6 (finally  )... then I'll be ready for Avadon.

Anyhow, back to the topic: I want to change the order of my looking-forward-to list:

1. The Witcher 2
2. Avadon
3. Eschalon Book 3
4. Dragon Age 2

I think I'll be DA'd out for a little while... .
Certainty: a character-driven, literary, turn-based mini-CRPG in which Vasek, legendary "Wandering Philosopher", seeks certainties in a cryptically insular, organic, critically layered city.

Hmm... .

Who will I play? A Stalinist or a Nazi?

...Hard choice. :(

I've reached a point where I just don't trust AAA games enough to anticipate them.

I can honestly say I expect to enjoy the indie games:

Age of Decadence
Avadon
Knights of the Chalice II
Eschalon Book III

The AAA games I will wait and see.

I really don't like what I'm hearing about Dragon Age 2 and I don't trust Bethesda after what they did with Oblivion.

I'm going to have to add L.A. Noire to my list. I didn't know anything about this game until recently, but the more I hear about it the more excited I get. The video game industry has been severely lacking in the detective game genre since the golden age of adventure games (the Sierra-OnLine/LucasArts days). Plus it's Rockstar Games so I know I'll have a sprawling, lively city to explore at my leisure.

Dang, 2011 is looking great. All these great titles, plus the 3DS, plus undoubtedly some surprises along the way. How will I be able to afford all this? I may have to sell a kidney.

Batman: Arkham City
Star Wars: The Old Republic (if it doesn't get pushed to 2012)
Diablo III (if it doesn't get pushed to 2012)

Batman: Arkham Asylum is probably the best game I've played the last 10 years.
