Re: Book Zero
After finding myself lost in the woods so many times in Book II, I love these 'deep conversation trees' that Thomas is promising us with this next title!
Re: Book Zero
Dumbed down for crappy 3rd generation consoles.
The Atari 2600 supports the full range of 121 different colors and directly accesses your TV's CRT; the NES/Famicom supports only 16 out of 52 colors in a meagre 256×224 resolution.
This is ridiculous! Don't support this dumbed down crap! The NES may be new and trendy, but it is clearly inferior to the established technology.

Happy April 1!

Re: Book Zero
Now that the cat's out of the bag, I can speak from a tester's standpoint.
This game is @#$#$#Q$%@#$#$#^%$^#@#$@&*^*&^%#%@$ hard! Not only do you spend almost an hour walking between encounters, most of the enemies will kill you in one hit! The key is to find which of the 512 maps has enemies at your skill level. Sometimes you have to run between maps trying to avoid enemies until you get to one you can handle.
Also, BW asked me to lend a hand with writing more books... it was a much requested feature. There's over 400 different books in Book Zero... some of them even have up to three words!

BW - you got me going with your wicked April Fool's joke. I sat there looking at your home page and my mouth feel open. I thought you had lost your mind! Joke's on me - definitely a gotcha for you

Actually, when I first saw the topic I was kinda confused because I didn't see the April 1st announcement. Was it just a coincidence that the text, in the Book Zero screenshots, was poorly written? Or was BW going for the bad Japanese to English translation that seems to plague all console RPGs?

"The Goblin King is a failed!"
Certainty: a character-driven, literary, turn-based mini-CRPG in which Vasek, legendary "Wandering Philosopher", seeks certainties in a cryptically insular, organic, critically layered city.
Re: Book Zero
Ya know not to bump an old thread on a joke. I actually like the idea of a pre-qual to Books I-III. Sorta go back and find out how he got into the society.
