Re: Legend of Grimrock
Ah man, that looks sweet as pie. This is the first RPG (indie or AAA) that I am jealous we didn't make.
After several years of being burned out on the current trend in games, I am excited at the prospect of being a game player again and not just a developer.

Those "old school" looking games are cropping up. There's a new online RPG with the same "Wizardry/Eye of the beholder" look called Misfortune.

I'm not usually one to bump up dead topics without a purpose, so let it be known that I am doing this for a good reason!
The game is nearing completion fast, it could potentially be released at any time now. The developers were aiming for an end of 2011 release, but are still polishing things up a bit. They're well into beta testing and the release is nearing fast.
One of the team members is actively communicating with the community over at the dungeon amster forums, I'll post a link below. I hope that's okay.

The GUI has been overhauled since that first screenshot, as the team has been working 8 hours a day 5 days a week since well before that was posted It's great to see these tiny companies doing such great things.

This, I have to say, looks pretty awesome. Reminds me of Demise a bit (in a good way), and I think I'm definitely picking it up when it comes out!
