Hi all! People were so helpful with my last question. Can anyone help me w/ this one?>

I'm at the point where i have to put a ring, ash, apple, b.weapon into some chests in order to open a door. Well...I did that, I thought, and no dice. The only thing I can think of is does 'ash' really mean 'ash.' I put sulfur in thinking, well, sulfuric ash...but I kept checking shops and I don't think I've seen anything that actually just says 'ash.' Not that there isn't, I could have just not paid any attention to it because I haven't really messed w/ alch besides buffing my weapons/armor.

Also, does the kind of ring matter? The one I used was a random ring with some useless enchantment on it. Does it need to be a plain one?

Thanks in advance!

You want Corpse Ash, not Sulfur.

And make sure you step on the pressure plate after you've filled the chests.

I think in Book I it's just Ash, not Corpse Ash, but I'm not certain. Anyway, the weapon must be a crushing weapon, and after the items are in the correct chests you step on the pressure plate.

Ah, ok, well ty for that. Any ideas where I can find some? Will it naturally show up in the stores if I keep looking? I've went back through a few respawns of the stores by this point, and still no luck.

Thanks~!

There's plenty of corpse ash in the North Parish crypts, but if you've sold or use that then you just have to wait and keep trying the stores.
