Very sorry for the lack of communication from us recently. For those who follow us on Twitter, you might have seen a few days ago that we had some new desks brought into the studio. This is the ongoing office upgrade that we mentioned from last year.
Another thing that has happened is that we are in the middle of upgrading our studio internet to a fiber optic line. Previously we were only using "Business-class DSL" because that was the only option available where we moved our office to. We were then informed that we could have a fiber optic line brought in, and of course we said "uh, yes please!". Unfortunately the process to get the fiber installed has taken a long time. We allowed our DSL service to lapse since we didn't want to commit to another contract and we expected to have the new line by now. This means we are without internet.
Yes, it is hard to run an internet-based business without internet.
So, for a couple weeks now we have actually been using
smart phones for internet while we have awaited the installation of the fiber line. This means we have been very slow to respond to emails.
The internet issue is nearly resolved now (we have been told Tuesday of next week, at the latest), and we are getting ready for our big summer crunch session. Things are getting back to normal, and as always, more info to come!
