Patch 1.03

Post by BasiliskWrangler »

Patch 1.03 is available from the Book I information page.

Change log for 1.03 Update [FINAL]
[FIXED]: Vela has been redesigned a bit to help prevent the accidental failure of a specific quest.
[FIXED]: Hide in Shadows bug.
[FIXED]: Quick Travel with container window open crash.
[FIXED]: Alchemy lab ingredients inconsistency.
[FIXED]: Gravedigger's Amulet notification leaves the Effect Window when amulet is removed.
[FIXED]: Messing around with inventory while wearing a Gravedigger's Amulet no longer spams the message box.
[FIXED]: Enkindled/Enchanted bonues on weapons end appropriately when spell runs out.
[FIXED]: Compress Atmosphere scroll icon properly set.
[FIXED]: Fleeing enemies now avoid leaving the map which can cause problems; also creatures that might already be stuck on the edge of a map are forceably dealt with.
[FIXED]: Quick-swapping weapons while holding an item no longer deletes the held item.
[FIXED]: Yet more typos, and a few map alignment issues.
[FIXED]: Rare occurrence of system hanging when you strike a powder keg with a melee weapon.
[UPDATED]: Random Encounters (while camping) puts enemies in better locations- should no longer trap enemies in trees or in locked rooms.
[BALANCE]: "Divine Ore" quest pays 1000xp, rather than 100xp

Remember! Some of these map changes will not be visible to you unless you restart.

What about Item Duplication Exploit? It's not in the list or just you don't want to illuminate this exploit in 1.02 at all. If this is the case delete my post, but just let us know some how if the exploit is gone (because I think is very important to be gone).

Acctually I just finish the game I'm going to apply the patch and see. I will start with new character if (and when) the duplicating exploit is gone (despite the fact I didn't abuse with the exploit with my first character).

EDIT:
I just saw the topic - [exploit] Item duplication:
http://www.basiliskgames.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=569

It's became poll (it wasn't before)
Should this exploit be eliminated in a future patch?
I guess afterall 1.03 is still with the exploit, huh?

P.S.
Okay, okay I talk (write) too much - I'm going to chech the patch...

This bug was listed as fixed under the 1.02 Patch:

Were you still able to duplicate in 1.02?

Ops, I have missed that

Yes I think. I don't know I just try it and I think it works. But maybe it's some problem with me I don't know - I will reinstall the game clear and this time I'll apply directlly 1.03.

Anyway sorry for the commotion

Okay, there's a new version of 1.03 up. Lighting or extinguishing a torch now takes once round, which further ensures the Hide in Shadow exploit is fixed. :fingers x:

Everyone testing 1.03: please re-download this patch at install it again.

Clicked the link above a few minutes ago, and d/l 1.03. Updated.

The exploit is still there (But it does now take a round to light/extinguish the torch). Your darkness penalty goes away, theres does not.

There is still the Thugs can see in the dark bug, in that if you have a torch and a thug is visible on the screen they permanently can see in the dark, even if you extinguish your torch.

I did notice that if you do not have a torch lit, and you wait till the thug makes the "Huh" sound, if you light a torch and extinguish it, when he gets to me we both have the darkness penalty. It would seem it makes the permanent light on them only if they have not noticed you yet?

I have a save specifically where there is a thug a little ways from me and can help test this further if you need?

Are there new items added with the patch1.03???

I encountered many items for the first time (poor cloak of survival etc) or were they already in the game and I was unlucky not finding them????

Items are fairly random so you'll find stuff on some runs you didn't get before.

I think he' doing a great job squashing the few bugs...to get mad is kind of silly when you see some of the major software companies bugs.
