Game cheating you (definite spoilers)

When I visited the Gildedmoon repository. I was curious what would happen if you asked the big eyebeast "What authorization?" or something along those lines. It teleports you to a cell and after a few turns a basilisk teleports in, deals 500 damage and turns you into stone. Now, I successfully managed to kill it on my second attempt, by stepping 2 squares off the portal, stepping forward one and placing a fused explosive barrel. When the basilisk teleported in the explosive barrel got it down to a sliver of health. I then walked all the way to the back wall and faced away from the basilisk so it could not turn me to stone. Now sometimes if I got lucky, I could turn around and skill feat (with my sword) the basilisk and kill it, then take the key it drops and walk out, but other times it would kill me even when I was facing away. By basilisk lore, a basilisk can only turn you to stone when you it looks you in the eyes. (mind you this whole situation only works if you throw, shoot or use a magic spell on the other side of the gate to the prison part of this area, otherwise you are stuck after this happens and there is no way out.)

I did this "encounter" with mage on first attempt (basilisk was wiped by compressed air in few shots) but was forced to abandon game - i was unable to exit cell unit.

you need to "remote control" the lever with a keg first.

There isn't a lever, its a combo lock.

However even if you planned ahead and figured that you had it set, you can still screw it up.

I set a portal before I went in, same way I handled the repository trap, little did I know the devs had blocked that. Too bad for my 12 hours of playing, I had forgot to open the door... lost my game unless someone can fix it or has an idea.

Yeah, you probably want to save before pissing off the eye beast :)

The lock of the cell can be openned by the key dropped by the lizard. The double gate at the door of the prison can be openned before you go in, with a timmer keg or keg shoot from outside.
