I've just finished patching together all of the map files to create a full map of the Book III over world, available in 3 sizes, all of which can be found at the link below:

Re: Book III - World Maps
Thanks for the nice maps.
Re: Book III - World Maps
Very nice work indeed. Now I know what the Ghost Isle looks like.

Thank you for sharing your work! Your maps are a really useful reference.
Re: Book III - World Maps
Thanks for this:
I have a question for BW (or anyone else who can answer) though. Where is the physical map of the starting region? It can only be accessed by that specific entrance south of Rockhammer, so I presume that just teleports you to a different region, not the one directly south of Rockhammer itself.
I just noticed this though, and was merely curious where the region actually lies in relation to the others.

Re: Book III - World Maps
Yeah, physically it lies inbetween Rockhammer and Deadman's Strand. On a more technical level, most of the maps in the "overworld" have filenames of the format XXYY.map - Rockhammer is 5050.map, Southern Boglands is 4950.map, Elderoak Forest is 4949.map, etc. (Those maps using the numbered-filename system don't even have "explicit" links between them - the engine just loads the "next map" based on the numbers.) Your starting map is just called weeping_mountain.map, so it's totally outside that system, and there are explicit links at the edges of the maps between those two.Vroqren wrote:I just noticed this though, and was merely curious where the region actually lies in relation to the others.

Thanks for sharing these, by the way! I actually had some exported myself which I had been planning on posting eventually, but you beat me to the punch. :)
