The graphics problem is back

Post by Painted Lady »

I just decided to take a spin through the world of Eschalon and started with Book I. This is the first time I have played the game since Yosemite came out, so I assume the new OS has caused this problem. Anyway, about 10% of the time when I enter a new map, some of the ground tiles are blank. I have had to reboot the Mac to get the problem to go away.

I don't know if BW will think it is worth re-compiling to fix the issue, but thought it ought to be on the wish list.

I've seen this, too. I didn't worry about it too much as I'm more interested in what Thomas is doing next.

Oh, so you're running Linux now?

 That was pretty funny, SS.

OS debates aside, and having used all three major OSes in the past 10 years, I honestly have to say I end up working with Windows the most. Linux is great, but it requires so much work to get everything working properly...not to mention almost none of the dev software I use works natively with Linux. Heck, I have a Xerox network printer that I have tried for three yeasr to get working on Linux, following dozens of online guides and using drivers from various sources, and I cannot get my Linux machines to communicate with it.

Still, I appreciate Linux on many levels and try to use it as much as possible at home.

Oh, and Painted Lady- do you know that you have the latest compiled version? I thought that issue was all taken care of and I haven't had a complaint in a year or more.
See my ramblings and keep up with the latest news on Twitter & Facebook.

I'm on 1.06. I installed it in December. Is it the latest version?
