Re: Quick question....
The only PC race options in all three books are humans. There are NPCs of several races: goblins, taurax (basically minotaurs), giants (I), dwarves (II & III), and super-secret spoiler race (II & III).
Edit: and some frog people in Book III!

Just curious. Why are you going to start with Book II?

Isn't Aaron, the bow and thrown weapons trainer in Book I a half-elf?

Oh, good point. I guess that means elves exist in the world, even if we don't see many of them.Prismatic Maelstrom wrote: ↑July 17th, 2017, 2:11 pm Isn't Aaron, the bow and thrown weapons trainer in Book I a half-elf?
"You see a slender man that looks as if he may be of elvish descent; if not half-blooded at least a quarter"
I think that's the only mention of elves in the trilogy, though.

Re: Quick question....
The book "Of Men and Giants" also mentions elves. I can't think of any other references.
"First, a note concerning Giants: they are not the feeble-minded creatures of popular conception. They are, in fact, highly socialized beings equal to that of men or elves, though perhaps their primitive speech patterns and rituals make them appear less civilized. It was this prejudice that led to the giants' enslavement and eventual revolt of the race of giants."
