Your Favorite Video Game Protagonists

Pretty simple, what are some of your favorite heroes or heroines from video games?

Here are mine:

Guybrush Threepwood
The bungling wannabe pirate hero of the Monkey Island series with the name everybody seems to mispronounce. Guybrush gets by on his strange and quite unique charm, his unconventional wit, and a whole lot of blind luck, mostly blind luck. This man is an expert puzzle solver (and some weird ass puzzles at that), a master of insult swordfighting, and wielder of the rubber chicken. Not only has he bested the dreaded Ghost Pirate LeChuck several times and faced fearful vegetarian cannibals, this is the man that threw a hunk of cheese into a lactose intolerant volcano god.

Lara Croft
Let's face it, spelunking through caves, exploring ancient ruins, dodging devious traps, and figuring out massive puzzles would be fun even if you were playing as some run of the mill schmuck. Being able to do it as a SMOKING HOT babe who also happens to be completely badass just puts the icing on the cake. Lara has navigated through ruins, caves, and tombs all over the world. She's battled mercenaries, animals, and mythical monsters. There's nothing out there that can stop her from gaining what she wants.

Gordon Freeman
Just a lonely scientist, not even at the highest security level. What chance does Gordon have against armies of invading aliens, marines, and combines? Apparently a damn good chance as Gordon proves himself to be an unstoppable killing machine. His hazard suit protects his body and his trusty crowbar hands out the justice.

Roger Wilco
The hero of the Space Quest series. Roger Wilco has some similarities to Guybrush Threepwood (or vice versa since Roger Wilco came first). Roger gets by on unconventional puzzle solving and blind luck. His bungling ways have made for hours and hours of great comedy and imaginative adventuring. The space corps might not appreciate you Roger, but all fans of Sierra games do.

Luigi
Sure Mario gets all the credit and all the glory but his brother Luigi winds up doing much of the dirty work without the recognition. Can Mario jump as high as Luigi? I think not. Skip that plate of Linguini Alfredo once in a while and cut down on the carbs Mario, maybe then you can jump as high as your brother.
