Price of Eschalon

Why is Eschalon $20 here when on Steam and Gamersgate it is $15? Eschalon Book 2 also has costs $5 more here than on those sites.
I've been thinking of buying this game and would rather buy direct if possible so that way it would be DRM free and I could just pay the developer directly, but if it's going to cost more that way...
