transfer save slots from demo to steam?

If I buy the steam version of this game, will I be able to transfer my saved game files from the demo version that I downloaded from the official website into steam?

I believe this has been asked before, and I believe that the answer is that the Steam version uses the same save location as the regular version, so it should open your save files just fine.

Thanks, I bought the game on steam and I can confirm the save slots are compatible, at least for version 1.05.
