The Future of Single-Player RPGs

1UP recently ran a feature with industry leaders chiming in on the future of single-player RPGs. All sorts of interesting topics are covered. When they get to the section on indie RPGs, Alan Miranda of Ossian Studios mentions Eschalon: Book I and said he enjoyed it. The article is a great read for anyone interested in the genre of single-player RPGs.

I read this article from of RPGWatch last week but I admit I didn’t catch the comment on Eschalon. Very cool that industry leaders take note of the work indie studios are doing.

    High five!

I respect high quality cinematic sequences, but if I wanted to watch a movie, I’d do that in a theatre (with actual acting performances). I miss gameplay from games. And that’s why I’d buy 3 indie RPG-s instead of buying… well… Mass Effect.
