Re: Interface issues
Excuse my ignorance, but how *exactly* do you get a resolution of 1680 x 1050? I thought it was 1024 x 768... Did I miss something? Thanks.

Re: Spoilers: Lorewitch Tower?
Thanks for the quick responses... No, I don't actually have the Portal spell yet, so maybe I'll try again using your numbered levers map. Is there going to be more of the same on the other levels of the tower? Thanks again!

Spoilers: Lorewitch Tower?
Spoilers ahead:
If I accepted the quest from Erubor to seek the assitance of the mages at Lorewitch Tower, *must* I complete that quest? Reason I ask - I'm finding this quest of flipping levers in the right order extremely tedious, and the game for the first time is not fun for me. Now, I admit to ...

Re: I love the game, but...
Well, thanks a lot to all who replied. That clears things up and I'm a much happier gamer now. :D I *did* read the manual, I must have just missed where it mentions the bit about getting to use half the number of spells as your Intell or Wisdom (yes, I do know about putting items on temporarily to ...

I love the game, but...
I don't like the fact that if you pick a lot of spells to use at the beginning of the game it seems that when you are nearing the end you can't use some of the most effective spells. There is a limit (I guess) on how many you can have. I'm at Intell 25 and there are still elemental spells ...

Few Enemies When I Camp
I seem to remember in EB1 that when I camped I was interrupted by enemies/monsters much more often than in EB2. I can usually find a place to rest very easily now. I'd say I'm interrupted less than 10% of the time. IIRC, I was awakened in the middle of sleep *much* more than that in EB1. I miss that ...

Re: Windows Exception Error
Thank you so much, 'Buckets', for your suggestion! I created a new user account and all is now working correctly. I had a problem at first as I had to re-register EB2 and it started me out with none of my saves intact. Funny thing was, this time the entire path to the 'saved games' folder was *not ...

Re: Windows Exception Error
Just in case this might shed any light on how my system is messed up, the following is the msg I get when I try to go on-line using Firefox:
"Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory. Please check ...

Re: Windows Exception Error
I d/l'd 1.03 today (May 26th) from Gamershell. Nothing that you suggested worked. I get an immediate 'Windows Exception: Exception_Access_Violation' msg right after launch. It also reverts to the normal settings I had at the launch screen when I go to try to load it again. I did mention, I hope, in ...

Windows Exception Error
I get "Windows Exception: Exception_Access_ Violation" with 1.03 right after the 'launch' screen. Nothing works. I even un-installed the game and re-installed it. Nothing. Does this mean I'll lose all my saves if I eventually (with your help, hopefully) get this to run? I never could find the ...

Right and besides, if you want to talk *illogical*, how about switching weapons, etc in combat... 'Hey, Mr, Monster, hold on a minute will you while I remove my bow and grab my sword and oh, yah, hold off smacking me for a while as I mix up a few potions'. We're talking about just getting rid of a ...
