Manusdei:
I honestly thought you just made up "OMGBBQ" to be weird.
Then I looked it up on Urban Dictionary.
Damn. It's real.
I'm old...

Re: Character hacking...how important is it?
BW: As long as it's not causing you major problems, I don't see the harm in letting us toy with our characters. I know, in a game as complex as yours, I love to play once normally (and as thoroughly as possible) -- and then go back and see "everything I missed" by playing through as a god....

Re: Vanishing Fathamurk key
BW/Jedi Learner: I used Jedi Learner's suggestion, installed the character editor, and after backing up my saves, editted my keyring to remove duplicate keys and add the Diamond key. I am happy to report success! Restarting the game, the doors opened. (I haven't proceeded further yet.) I *WOULD* sug...

Re: Fathamurk help. [SPOILERS]
BW: Oh dear. I also have twenty keys. I took my original character from when I won EB2 the first time, copied him into a new start-of-game, and played him through a second time. (I wasn't happy with how tough he was the first time through.) I won the game a SECOND time, and then used a late save-gam...

Re: Fathamurk help. [SPOILERS]
After I kill the lava slags and get the diamond key, the big wooden doors (with the note saying you need a key with a diamond chip) still won't open.

Re: Bug while being stunned?
Actually... I never wanted to mention this, because it's a bug I *LIKE*... but in my experience, I can quick-swap weapons and armor while stunned by a Borehead, no problem. I can't MOVE or ATTACK... but I can consistently swap out my armor/weapon set so I'm ready for melee once the stun wears off......

You know -- and I say this as a dedicated "if it's in a chest, or drawer, it was CLEARLY meant for me and not for whoever lives in the building WITH the chest or drawer" type player -- I just couldn't bring myself to use or pawn that potion. Not after the original courier died rather than ...

Re: A word on version 1.03 of the game
Just so you know -- I downloaded EB2 1.01, installed, registered, created a character, and saved on May 13. I haven't played since (was finishing Might & Magic VI, which I'd started while waiting for EB2). Today, I uninstalled EB2 v1.01 and installed v1.03. The game started fine, I was still reg...

Is my character supposed to be... sliding along, no walking animation, and not even facing the direction he's moving?

Re: Registration Numbers
For what it's worth, my code had an "I" and a "1" next to each other, and I had no difficulty entering it correctly the first try. (No SHIFT or CAPS lock, and clicked the button when done.) On the other hand, the lack of a blinking cursor in the Code field *DID* lead me to click ...

Re: Great timing, Unbe!
Nononono, see, you guys aren't seeing the big picture. The Lost & Found is run by that most horrid of creatures -- the bureaucrat. King of his own little pond. (And the only completely unkillable monster in the game.) Before he'll even TALK to you, you'll be required to pay a fee, then fill out ...

Great timing, Unbe!
Yeah, a week to go-live, and I *FINALLY* have a good idea. Maybe it can be done as part of an update... or maybe for Book 3... The idea is: You should have a "Lost & Found" character (or store)! i.e. If the game detects that you have killed a quest-item-giving monster (or opened a ques...

Re: Quick Poll - DVD or CD?
Haven't seen a disc reader in a PC that was "CD-only" in many, many years. Hell, my current PC will even read Blu-ray and HD-DVD. So sure, bring on the DVD! ...and then use that as an excuse to include even more extras... such as a "making of" video! :) [And there's gotta be SOME...
