in the blacksmiths in aridell there is a lever behind a chest. i smashed the chest and moved the lever and cant see any affect. does it do anything?

I've found a couple of items that i cant sell.
When i try it just says "that looks important keep it" etc
im early in the game (currently doing the lilith hive queen quest) and want to know what these items are needed for:
Easter egg (its red iunno if thats important)
weapon fragments
are these ...
