HA! I admit that I started a lot more playthroughs than I ever finished, but I finished each game at least once. Game 1 I finished a bunch of times with different character types to try things out.blatherbeard wrote: ↑October 31st, 2024, 4:13 pm I still dont think ive completed any of the games LOL

Re: Anyone play Black Geyser?
Yeah, I'm at the bottom end of the specs and it shows in some of the big battle sections. But the game is pretty cool. The game has some odd bits, also, where it's hard to get a quest or to figure out how to complete it, and I think some of them can't be completed if you've gone certain places befor...

Re: Anyone play Black Geyser?
I may have to wait to finish this game until I get around to getting a better computer. This old iMac is not handling the area in the epic battle. I've had trouble with a few of the larger earlier zones as well. Of course, I've been thinking about getting a new machine since this old thing also won'...

Re: Anyone play Black Geyser?
It's more like Baldur's Gate than Eschalon. GOG had it on sale last week (may still be) for something like 50% off. I admit, I had it in my library for years and never tried it until about a month ago and was really pleasantly surprised.

Anyone play Black Geyser?
Yes, I'm checking in with my old pals here at the Pub. Who else has tried out Black Geyser? I've been playing it the last few weeks and enjoying some of their mechanics and some of the different possibilities. The dusts/powders you can create and use make for some interesting additions to game play,...
Re: Abathor
Looks like it's already out on Steam. The Nintendo Switch version must be a port. That's why you're seeing completion videos. Looks like fun, though platforms aren't my game style of choice.

Re: Speedrunning the Series
Fun stuff! Maybe I need to pick myself up a cheap PC that can still run the old games. Apple made it so I can't play Eschalon anymore right now.

Re: More new games: Swordhaven Demo
Yep. I've spent a few nights trying it out (downloaded mine off of GOG, but both have it). I've completed most of what can be done in the Demo, but now I'm testing different builds to see what possibilities open up. How folks act differently toward you if you're a Nobel, etc. There are some fun bits...

More new games: Swordhaven Demo
Looks like the makers of ATOM have been working on a new isometric cRPG, Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy. There's a free demo up now on GOG (and probably Steam). It's definitely a demo as there are some bits that are flaky, but a lot of fun mechanics and gameplay.
SKALD
Hello we few, we happy few, we band of gamers. Has anyone else tried the new game SKALD? I played a bit of it this last week. Some very interesting old school game play. Don't have a complete opinion, yet, as I haven't made it all that far through the game yet. It is very retro.

Where did you find them? Just online, or are they on GOG or Steam, also?

So sorry for your loss, John.
2023 was hard for a lot of folks I know who lost their great loves. I hope 2024 brings you lots of positive change. And more great games.
