Re: Dungeon building
I'm with you, Painted Lady. Very happy it will be turn based. My life is too scattered for real time. I keep forgetting to pause and go off to do something and come back to characters complaining they're bored.Painted Lady wrote: ↑March 9th, 2023, 6:25 pm Be still my beating heart! Turn based! I absolutely cannot wait.

Re: Basilisk Games Update for 2023?
About a year ago I mentioned moving to Godot , which is a game engine that is lean, powerful and open source. Currently I am waiting on version 4.0 to be released before I can port my earlier work over (they've just reached beta 9, so we're close!). You're waiting for Godot? I think I read this pla...

Another Happy Thanksgiving to all!
I hope everyone has had a good year. Time for me to be heads down for a month. Joys of life in a major fulfillment center. Looking forward to playing some games when things clear.

Re: Anyone Else Played Bard's Tale IV
So.. did you end up completing the game? I got the point where it said, "point of no return" and then went back to make sure I had done all the quests, found the good gear etc.. and then sort of puttered out... I should try to finish it. I did finish it, though I never finished the Dwarve...

Looked that up and added it to my wishlist. I may grab it when I finish some of the games I'm in the middle of (because really, who can play just one game at a time?).kelticpete wrote: ↑September 28th, 2022, 11:24 pm

Queen's Wish 2
So, who's started playing Spiderweb's newest outing, Queen's Wish 2? I opened it last night for the first time. Haven't really dug into the gameplay, yet. I never did finish the first game. Maybe I should go back and do that before I dive into this second one...

Re: ok guys i dont play since 2017 - returning
All the classes have cool elements. My favorite is generally to play some version of a ranger. Stealth and arrows. Maybe just a little magic or alchemy for those times when you need it. But I've played through almost every class at some point. Much fun to be had however you go about it.

Re: Wintry Games
Shadowrun : Missions It's like Shadowrun Returns, except you get to chose a random mission lasting about 20 min each. Perfect for supposedly adult and supposedly responsible people like me, who don't get to devote hours a day to gaming no more. The game has a radically new approach. There is no dra...

Re: Wintry Games
Baldur's Gate is such a widely praised classic RPG that I would love to love it. Guess the problem is that I don't like the Infinity Engine because it isn't turn-based. The battles aren't all that strategically interesting as a result, so darn it all. My problem with an otherwise fun game..... I wo...

Wintry Games
Hope everyone is safe and warm in the world of wintry weather out there this week. What games has everyone been playing? For myself, I'd never actually played through Baldur's Gate before, so I got I've been going through them. I started playing BG2, but then backed up and went back to the first gam...

Re: Happy New Year!
- I am transitioning again to a new engine for Basilisk's next game. Most of you old timers know that I started with BlitzMax to make Eschalon. In the past few years I've moved over to Unity. Now I'm moving to Godot, which is much like Unity but without so much overhead. It's faster to work with as...
