Happy 2024 folks!
Very nice to see this place is still here, however quiet. Good memories, good community.
John, my sorrow for your loss.
Very best,
Farwalker

Re: Lords of Xulima
I quite liked it... although my interest stalled part way through. I may go back and finish it yet though.

Re: Serpent in the Staglands
I'm trying this now, just a bit into it. I quite like it so far. Mercy, I'm thinking the interaction at the beginning may influence some aspects of the game plot. Character creation comes after that. You make one avatar for yourself, and as many other avatars as you want up to a maximum party of fiv...

Glad it was bumped, I hadn't seen this. I usually look for topics like this in the Role Playing Games section.
Will keep an eye on this one.

Re: Avadon 2 thoughts
I played Avadon 2 through a good chunk of the story, but my interest dropped off and I didn't finish it. I didn't take a tinkermage as my main, but enjoyed using one in the party. I found the options for character improvement tailed off way too quickly in this one. For example, not enough equipment ...

I think I saw a combined deal on Steam recently, but I don't recall the discount.KillingMoon wrote: Sigh... I'll probably wait for a sale to come. They're bound to offer both parts in one deal at some point.

They've added another 5 areas to the game, among other things. Looks like steady progress.

Re: Divinity - Original Sin
I run on older machines too, and I'm not sure I'll be able to play this one. Never bothered to spring for 512M video, and that might kill it for me. Of course, I've been able to play quite a few things that I apparently shouldn't be able to, so hard to tell. There was a Divinity game that had dwarve...

Re: Cannot identify inventory item
I went through the whole game without ever being able to identify a pair of epic boots I found. Didn't have enough money to pay for an ID, and the combination of my lore, lore rings, and a mediocre lore spell wasn't enough. I can conquer the whole game, but can't figure out how to stick my foot into...

I tried that too, multiple attempts some with more than one powder keg. There doesn't seem to be a way to trigger both levers using powder keg explosions.
Never tried supernova though.

Ha! Ever try to eat a whole cabbage raw? That would take some serious doing.SpottedShroom wrote: It's okay, just take a turn to eat it. Everyone knows that when you eat something you stop having to carry its weight, right?
Funny how I can just slip that achievement in during combat.

Re: E3 Memorable Moments
Finding the kitten "out of the blue" is pretty funny. I know Killingmoon already said this one, but sure enough I recently had a good chuckle when, while cruising along through the countryside, I came to a sudden and abrupt halt! You guessed it, a cabbage. Cabbages are dangerous! What if I...
