Re: Book III Mod: Alchemist's Tower in Moonrise (update 4/11
The only mod I have in the works is the large dungeon in the western Astral Range. That one is much more ambitious than the two I have already made, so it will be a while. I still hope to have the first installment of it done soon, but it could be months before that mod is entirely complete.

Re: Planning for new mod: Large dungeons in west Astral Ran
At this point, it isn't possible to create new NPCs, so any city would have to be abandoned and/or full of monsters. It is a worthwhile idea, however; a small isolated village in one of the above-ground areas would be a good addition. I'll probably add an abandoned one for now, and if the editor eve...

Re: Book III Mod: Alchemist's Tower in Moonrise (update 4/11
I've been busy this week and haven't been able to visit the site for a few days. Thanks, xolotl, for providing all of those hints. I suppose those math-related puzzles can be a bit devious. (There will be more of them in my upcoming mod.) I'm glad people have been enjoying this mod. I had a lot of f...

Re: Planning for new mod: Large dungeons in west Astral Ran
Here is a brief status update. The modifications to the western astral range map are complete. The dungeon entrance and the areas leading to it are done and tested. I have decided to call it the Catacombs of the Mithril Clan. I'm still working on the back story, but it is essentially a large burial ...

Re: Planning for new mod: Large dungeons in west Astral Ran
I am hoping to make this mod reasonably challenging even for a character at about Level 20 who has retrieved the nice loot from the other mods. Since there is a limit to monster difficulty, I'll have to try to come up with other challenges. Some challenges, such as puzzles, will not depend on the ch...

Planning for new mod: Large dungeons in west Astral Range
Please note that unmarked spoilers are possible in this thread. I have been doing some planning for a new large mod, and I wanted to mention it here and solicit suggestions. This will be a large multi-map mod consisting of dungeons and some above-ground areas. The entrance to the dungeons will be so...

Re: Divinity - Original Sin
I'll have to wait and see. I must admit that it looks promising in many ways. Divine Divinity is fun to explore, but I haven't yet taken the time to finish it. Original Sin looks like it might have fancy graphics that would slam my clunky old computers, so I'll have to pay close attention to the sys...

Re: How many games have you finished so far?
I am another of those old farts who has been playing games for a long time. I go back to the 1970s, and probably the first game I finished was Adventure on the Atari 2600. During my teenage years, when I played games regularly on the Atari 800, I finished the first four games of the Ultima series, m...

Re: Book III Mod: Expedition into West Mirkland
I'm still using Version 1.00 of the game. I bought it on GOG, so I'm waiting for the update there. That could possibly make a difference.

Re: Book III Mod: Expedition into West Mirkland
I just went through the area quickly with a powerful end-game character who has been through the other mods. Of course, with a character this strong, the monsters were easy and it only took me about an hour to explore the whole place, but I didn't see any monsters that would be impossible for a char...

Re: Book III Mod: Alchemist's Tower in Moonrise (update 4/11
I just found out that the zip file for Version 1.03 had some of the wrong files in it. I have just uploaded a corrected version of the archive. The incorrect files were older versions of some of the maps; the differences are minor.

Re: Book III Mod: Expedition into West Mirkland
Thanks. I am happy to see that new mods are rapidly appearing. They will help to keep people interested in these games.
I'll try it out this weekend and let you know if I find any bugs.

Re: Book III Mod: Alchemist's Tower in Moonrise (update 4/6/
I have just uploaded the latest version. Changes in this one are small, so people who have already played using Version 1.02 aren't missing a great deal. I fixed a couple small bugs that I found during a detailed playthrough. I also changed values on some of the loot; a few things were set a bit too...

Re: Book III small mod: Small Dungeons - Rockhammer
I have just uploaded the latest version. The changes are minor; I have made the changes that MyGameCompany suggested. I am currently playing through the entire game again using all of the mods that exist so far, and I have been using the areas in this small mod for storage. Everything seems to be wo...

Re: Book III Mod: The Mystery of Rockhammer Mine
I have finally been able to explore this mod in detail. It is an excellent addition to the game, and it seems to be well balanced, although it is, of course, fairly easy for a powerful character. I played it with a divination-focused mage who also has some skill at elemental, alchemy, and bludgeonin...
