Demon's Souls
Ok, this isn't a true old-school RPG, being more of action RPG. Still, while it may be really challenging and infuriating at times (especialy when you lose your living form), it has superb graphics, atmosphere and unique & original flair. Of course, you have your standard footsoldiers and OMG ...

Re: Puzzle Designing
Here's a riddle,
What seems inky dark but doesn't leave a mark
Turns blue if the time is true
Can't touch or feel
You can see me
If you don't live in the ground

Re: What do you like best about Book II?
Hehe, I loved playing this game in combination with visiting the pub. Whenever I'd arrive at a town without having a clear idea of what to do, I'd close the game, go to these forums and look for clues, info, stories, news, etc. Unlike mainstream steroid-infused graphic engine games, I get a ...

Re: What's missing??
Weapon crafting has been something that's been left out in the series. You haven't been able to create weapons via alchemy nor can blacksmiths do requests, and the imbuing is quite limited (if not useless). I'd like to see more possibilities, but how would you create weapons? Would it be possible to ...

Re: Hexedge
Well later in the game I'm sure the blacksmith on Picaroon Isle has enough gold. If not, save enough money (2-4 grand), buy your proper expensive weapon/armor then sell the named weapon!
I, for one, like to keep the named weapons. They're the best in the game, and lightweight! Once you get all the ...

Visit the mines of Mistfell now!
Why waste your time leisurely reposing your lazy self in some boring town or that ugly Cape Sorrow? Care for some adventure, nifty treasure, mining jobs AND a stylish place to lay a tent? Then come to the Farrock mountain mines, home of the famous miners of adamantium! Yes! Adamantium, the ore known ...

Re: What's missing??
Ah, I see! Very good explanations from both of you! Don't have any more nitpicking about the size of the game, knowing this. Expansion?! YAY! :D
But heck, I noticed this little thang, just after visiting the forbidden area in the Farrock range. It's possible to spot hidden gems in the rocks! Hell ...

Re: What's missing??
I'd say it bugged me that it weren't possible to explore further when you could reach the border of the map. I'll understand when it tells you there's just snow and emptiness, but the rest of the time...

Re: Beta Test Application
Will there be other testing rounds for the mac version? If so, would it be possible to sign up again?
I also have PC though... I can't believe I missed the signing up. :( Oh well.
But enough of that, keep up the good work everyone, and hope there won't be any game-breakers (for the sake of ...

Re: Animals
Mmmmm... that makes me think.
What if your character is starving, and you're in the middle of nowhere (caves or desert). What would be there be to scavenge? Could you get meat from that camel's carcass? Could you eat a cave bat? Or could you nab an apple from a tree (a clickable tree would be nice ...

Anyone think the Orakur are somewhat similar to the Vahnatai (from the Avernum series)?

I'm a mac user
. Sue me lol. Linux looks cool though!
When will this platform go through beta test (approximatively?). I'd love to lend a helping hand!
Good luck with everything!

It is a very sad fact that Mac OSX is so wonderful. All white and compact, it is... too perfect... (presses F9/F10/F11 with glee)

Re: New gaming sites....
I found it on http://www.macgamefiles.com . I thought it had an interesting title (rpg-like), contrarily to the mass of "casual" games. All the reviews were favorable (5/5) and the screenshot was nice, so I tried it, and of course it was awsome!

Re: Book II Questions Thread
QUESTION!
Will you get to meet the crusaders mentioned but never seen (as they are off to pointlessly search for the gnome-like Orakur) named the Commonwealth Guards and possibly fight alongside them?
QUESTION 2!
Will the Orakur play a bigger part in part 2? Will you meet one? Do they exist? At the ...
