Re: Book II Video Resolution
I've found a setting that works in the nvidia-settings tool. I have to force the video-card to scale-up the image to 1920x1200, as the monitor claims it will happily do 800x600 and the monitor doesn't have a fixed-aspect setting.

Re: Book II Video Resolution
I don't mind a fixed resolution, but I would at least like the game not to be stretched out of aspect on wide-screen monitors. Just put black bars on the sides. This is a setting in your computer's control panel. On every system I have ever tested the game on, I have found a way to "maintain a...

Re: * BOOK II COMBAT OPTIONS *
I like the different combat focus settings :) You probably shouldn't go for a fixed 20%, but make it depend on the weapon. A huge axe isn't really suitable for carefully aimed blows, and a sleek dagger isn't very suitable for going berserk. Especially if the critical chance goes up with the finesse ...

Re: Just to Let you Know... (Minor Spoilers)
Personally I prefer:
12. Ranger Lord's Mithril Bracers
Light Armor, Base Armor Raging: 3
+5 ToHit
+4 Bow Weapons
Of course imbued to +3 as well

Out of map enemy bug
I was milking the trigger that spawns ghosts and apparently, after spawning too many, the game decided to place one outside the map. Also, after killing most of 'em, the game couldn't find a spot to drop the ectoplasm, giving a big warning on the console. I guess it would be better to combine the co...

Re: Thought about Eschalon 2 - weapon types
How about the effectiveness of certain weapon types versus certain enemies? A dagger or bow probably doesn't do much damage to a skeleton, but a mace or throwing stones does.
Or is this already the case in book 1? If so, I didn't notice...

Re: Regeneration of Monsters
I would like some respawning monsters, makes the place feel less empty. Once you're level 15 you can just ignore those salamanders. They won't be able to harm you anyway, so if you don't feel like killing 'em just walk past. I think monsters should not respawn on maps with npc's that can be killed b...

But you don't get the option to disarm it, you get the option to pick the lock and not picking the lock sets of the trap.BasiliskWrangler wrote:Only when you know of the trap should you get the option to disarm it.

I could walk in and out without problem. It's also reproducible when I start a new game.

Walking out of the map bug?
Hi,
I just managed to walk out of the map, I don't think my character is supposed to be there
The red arrow is more or less the path I walked.

Re: Trapped door bug?
It was the door in Blackwater, on the house next to the one with the corpse. My spot hidden was 1. My character did not detect any traps. When clicking on the door I did get the message that the door was locked, with the question if I wanted to pick it. After clicking no, the trap went off. I'm afra...
