Skill information
It has been a while since I played Book 1 but I remember that you didn't really know when you had reached the maximum useful value for a skill. It may be too late in development for Book II (or I may have just missed the applicable forum post) but I would like to see some type of in-game information ...

BW,
I was very impressed with the professionalism of the answers you provided above. Not only was the content of the answers welcome, they were presented in a timely, complete, and concise manner. This is a template I would love to see other members of the industry follow.

The political jab was unnecessary. I do agree that a Bulldozer or Break Down Wall / Door spell makes for an interesting environment. I always wondered why I could cast the equivalent of a tactical nuke in Bard's Tale but not break my way into a locked thatch hut.

The following is legit and it does not unbalance the game (in my opinion) however you may not want to read it if you prefer a more sparse money game.
I prefer my mage to be a bit more street smart than book smart so I built up Merchant and Alch to about 15-16 each (including the use of books and a ...

stand in the far right corner of that room (on the right side of the thrid row of tables). Hover the mouse over the bottom-right diagonal wall at mid-hight. It will highlight the door. You should be able to see where the hallway to the study connects to the room that you are in as well.

DTravel,
I'll try and step you through by memory. Highlight the text below with your mouse to read it - I changed the color as it is a significant spoiler for the map:
From the worker, exit his door to the south. That will put you in a passage like an upsidedown T. You do not need to go north, go ...

Minor map bug
When crossing west from Central Tanglewood into Western Tangle wood - if you exit using the top cell from CT you get stuck in a group of trees on the WT map and are unable to go back east to CT.

[Spoiler Request] Soft/Hard Stat & Skill Caps
Is there a score at which Stats or Skills top out? Are you prevented from adding points above the maximum useful value?
