Speaking of Spiderweb games has anyone been able to get onto their forums recently? I have been trying for over a week and get MySQL errors everytime I try and goto into a forum or post.

Ok found it. Search did not reveal location until I clicked add to index on location i was searching(MARK)! I've not been impressed with Vista search facility and I'm less impressed now!

As for the bizarre place it was installed:

C:\Users\Mark\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Eschalon ...

I get a score of 1 under DirectX, on an Nvidia 8800gts. Game won't run at all under OpenGL.

I have seen the colour palette problem in the Gulf of Madria too. Wondered what it was at first thought I had been hit by some powerful blow or magical effect.

Totally agree. I live in the UK and I like a beer, I can spend more than what this game cost in less than three hours in my local pub. I have been playing the game for more than 20 hours (still haven't finished) so it easy to see ...

How can we get some Spiderweb fans to take a look at Eschalon, without going to Spiderweb's forums and trolling the game? I know last year someone mentioned Eschalon there...and later the thread mysteriously disappeared.

It is a shame if Spiderweb have that attitude.

Yea even onboard Intel GMA9XX series video should play fine. Defiantly try updating your drivers and maybe check for the latest version of DirectX.

Yeah, my laptop has an onboard Intel graphics chipset and can play the game fine under DirectX mode. A bit slower than my desktop but certainly more ...

Voted 1. Quite happy with what is in Book 1 and would like to see more of the same + some new features rather than a major redesign. Not too bothered about party based gaming myself.

From memory download + patch will be somewhere between 100 - 105mb. If the game isn't updated to the latest version (1.02 at this time) the patch is only about 1mb.

Agree with that comment. Tonight was the first time in a long-time whilst playing a game that I wasn't looking at the clock every 5 minutes to see if it was time to goto bed for work (early starter).

As I write this I am way past my bedtime, and I don't care.

Read through a few threads and can't see anyone with quite the same problem I have.

If I have played and exitted the game and then try to start the game again I get the launch menu but when I press start I get a black screen and then after a couple of seconds I go back to the desktop. Sometimes ...
