Can't complete game
Macbook Pro here running 10.11.1. Bought game way back early 2014, had to set aside for a year or so, then finally completed a game this past summer. Great, but then three games in succession could get no further than the very end, when the four number code refused to unlock the final gate. Numerous ...

Re: How many times have you finished Book III?
Once, but two other attempts with different character builds became unplayable at the point of entering the code to open the gate to see the what's-his-name dragon (Karamikian?) but nothing happened, even with multiple tries. Bad enough the 2nd game, but really disappointing the 3rd game (as a mage ...

Re: Is the game really that hard?
Yeah it's hard, even on the "easy" setting. A big difference between B I and B II is that in Bi it was possible to run through the game with a half dozen different character builds, and all of them were able to beat the game first try.
Not so in B II. So far three high level and very different ...

Interesting thread. Another point: no outlying farms or other support systems for towns. Even empty buildings could contain random enemies to add a little action. Also NPCs with their own little quests or even simple dialog would be a nice touch.

Re: Strength Gone?
Thanks for the answers. :D
I went back, but I soon discovered that the anomaly was just the reverse of what I first reported. The true weight capacity was supposed to be 150 lbs. Probably it was a cosmic ray that knocked some bits around. I just played on, so I won't make any further fuss over ...

Strength Gone?
First time this happened in either B I or B II:
Bopping along on level 2 in the mine, strength at 170, decided to save, whereupon strength suddenly only 150 and I am desperately overburdened! AACK
What just happened??? Is this a rare bug, or did the system hiccup?
Anyway, I'll have to go back and ...

Re: Glitch or really cheap tungstun long sword?
Glitches are possible the other direction, too. I about fell over when I acquired an ordinary pair of hide boots valued at 400, when the same item was on sale at the local smithy for 150 or so. Since I hadn't actually purchased same, I didn't worry about the difference, but wondered if there was ...

Re: Almost there
Arrrg! GamersHell.com has to be the slowest server I have met in years.
On the other hand, a few more minutes is nothing after weeks of waiting.
