Re: Game won't even launch!
Hi, I've just bought the registration code for Book 2, and downloaded the game. Unfortunately after installing it and double clicking on the .exe, it won't even start! I get the launcher window, but without any graphics inside, so I can't select screen res, windowed mode or anything!! It just stops...

Re: I have bought your game - and where the Russian version?
What a nice way to ask something you want... Did it occur to you that, given his desire for a Russian translation, his native tongue might be Russian? I know from experience with the language that they have a unique sentence structure. It is highly likely that his post was not meant the way it read...

Today is the day where it all culminates for you,and I know that after today it will be back to work again on bug fixes, patches, and fairly soon book 3. I wanted to take a moment and express gratitude and well wishes for you ...

Re: Back to Beta
Aye,
As someone who's been programming for fifteen years, I actually enjoy testing and seeing development level projects. I lost count years ago at how many games and other software that I've tested.

Re: Book II Creature Profiles
That destroyed page is top notch work BW. I hope you guys can get something like that worked into a great teaser for book 2 ... I'd really like to see some more publicity for what you're doing here this time around!

Re: Back to Beta
I think what I was trying to get at is, if your primary motivation for wanting to be a beta tester is to 'try out' the game before it is released, then you are bound to be disappointed when it turns into a lot of work. Very well said. With Book I we took on 16 beta testers- I think only half ended ...

Collector's Edition Pre-Order?
This question is mostly for BW ... I know there's been some talk of a Collector's Edition featuring install discs for all three books of Eschalon, as well as additional bonus materials. I would be willing to pay for it today, so as not to miss out... would you be willing to maybe take pre-orders so ...

Re: Complete Map Resources [Spoilers]
I was even thinking maybe of putting all the mob spawns in as well, although if I go that far, I might as well put together a highly detailed walkthrough... -It shows monster locations on the mini map too. Only when you are in range of them. They won't show up for the entire map all at once, and no...

Re: Complete Map Resources [Spoilers]
I've seen that one as well as the other one floating around on the forums. My goal is to put together a high res large complete map as the one there (although his is marvelous already), as well as having each individual map at 500x500 (roughly 2.5x scale?) with the aforementioned annotations. I was ...

Complete Map Resources [Spoilers]
So guys, I'm totally hooked on this game, and I plan to play it through quite a few different ways. Currently I'm working on a Druidic Mage named Ture. I am using Reveal Map 6 to get very detailed maps. It was a bit tedious but once I got cartography from the trainer, I was very surprised to see tha...

Re: BOOK I COMPLETE SPELL LIST (Possible Spoilers)
I believe a Mage (or whatever) needs an INT=20 to read Tier 3 spells - you then need Elemental at Level 18? or 23?( I think...) to cast Tier 3 spells at Level 1; and an INT=33, and Elemental at Level 33, to cast Tier 3 spells at Level 6. (Incidentally, the same would be true for Wisdom with Tier 3 ...
