Re: registration code location
I did purchase both games through the basilisk website, quite a while ago though, the emails with the codes are long gone. But when I reformat my hard drive I will need to reinstall EB1 and I would need my original registration code I believe.

registration code location
I need to wipe my hdd... I found my EB2 reg. code in the .cfg file in the savegame folder. However the EB1 .cfg file doesn't have it, anybody know where it is? Otherwise I'll have to email Basilisk for a replacement.

Re: Should lower cartography skill undo higher skill levels?
I think it'd be really cool if there was an option to make the mini map global in regards to your savegames. In other words, on subsequent playthroughs, your map would already be filled out based on where you had already traveled. I heartily endorse this suggestion: it would eliminate the tedium of...

Re: Should lower cartography skill undo higher skill levels?
After recently playing the Fathamurk addon (thanks BW and BGames, excellent as usual) I thought I would re-roll another char to address some shortcomings my hammer-wielding, divination-casting "pally" was suffering from. But I just can't deal with the cartography/automapping again. It is k...

Re: powder keg bug
Quick slots are full as well. I'm too lazy to leave a certain really big mine to sell my stuff and come back right now.

powder keg bug
I haven't installed 1.02 yet but I didn't see this issue in the release notes. I just found out that if you try to pick up a keg with full inventory, the keg disappears forever.

Re: Cartography Annoyance
I have to agree, this may be the only thing I really don't like. It makes cartography items and spells kinda useless to me. I'm not going to wear my compass amulet at endgame, but I don't want to lose my map detail, so I just train cartography to level5 asap and forget about it. I know we've been ov...

Re: DX7 vs. DX9
Would you recommend I use OpenGL then Bernie? I had just assumed DX because it (DX7) was the default launch option. Performance is fine right now, but I'm wondering if there is any visual benefit to the other available options.

DX7 vs. DX9
Great game, loving it...
I noticed better performance using DirectX 7 vs. DirectX 9. Was wondering if this is typical, and what advantage there is to DirectX 9. System has Core2Duo, nvidia 8600GT, running XP with DX 9.0c installed.

Re: Great game!
Echoing all sentiments in this thread, I REALLY like this game, and prefer the 2D top-down view and turn-based system. I was also a huge Ultima fan, and still am thanks to Exult and DosBox. So I've been searching for similar games recently, but not having much success. I tried Oblivion despite my re...

Upon closer examination of my problem, I realized the targeting icon IS active over the entire enemy tile, in addition to the portrait. So targeting the enemy's feet works quite well actually to avoid inadvertent movement during combat. Holding the shift key is a useful safeguard also (thanks Bernie...

Sry I got here late
After recently purchasing Book I, First of all: Mucho Kudos... Fantastic game... Lots of fun... Just what I was lookin for... They don't make 'em like they used to doesn't apply here... etc. etc. Second of all: Since I'm just now nearing endgame with my first char, and already have plans for a few o...
