Re: Candle

Well it took several hours but I eventually got a candle from the Eastwillow innman, or whatever you call him. They seem to be a fairly rare commodity.

Re: Spelling and grammar

Yeah, I know I used niggardly incorrectly. As a defense I put forward both that I was drunk at the time, and that I like to try to use the word whenever possible so I can laugh when people accuse me of being racist. I do retroactively realize that I stretched the meaning. For the record, I am from N...

Re: Candle

So nobody's found any other candles? Has anyone even ever seen one in a shop? I've still got nothin', and I'm 3 play-hours further in.

Candle

I sold my candle, and I can't seem to find any in the shops. I have tried multiple times with waits in between. Is there anywhere else to find one? I thought it was just one of those random pointless items.

2 things and another different thing.

1 - For some reason whenever there are masses of pine trees on the screen, my game slows to a crawl. This never happened in book 1 in the various forests. 2 - When you get the lycanthrope quest, then talk to the magician and accept his quest but decide to kill him anyway you apparently lose the orig...

Re: Spelling and grammar

You people have odd ideas of what constitutes condescension and arrogance. When the first sentence I read in the actual game was "You have awoke" I had to stop and rub my eyes. I don't remember the second sentence, but I do recall there being a grammatical issue therein. "Your lock-pi...

Spelling and grammar

Been playing Book II for a while now and I must say that my only major complaint is that the poor sentence structure and grammatical mistakes have made me want to do very serious damage to whoever wrote the text. Please, please, please hire an actual editor for Book III. If necessary, I will do it f...

Re: Beta Test Application

Just finished submitting mine. I agree with the idea that there should have been an open comment box at the end. Where else can I threaten to kidnap your relatives if you don't let me in?

For those unfamiliar with dry humour, that was a joke.

Re: Beta testing

You can have all the Slurm you want at the end of the tour.
When will that be?
Soon enough.
But that's not soon enough!

The waiting game is hard. I want to make beta testing.

Re: Wizard's Hats and Robes

I feel I should point out that without the light armor skill you can wear a full array of light armor and still only suffer a -1 to attack and defend. You only take the penalty for the first piece of armor you put on (of a speciific weight class) So, taking into account you can wear ~6(?) pieces of ...

Re: Easy exploit

Guess someone beat me to it then. But on the point of realism - what I meant was if you take 8 naps in a row it won't do your body nearly as much good as a solid sleep would. You'd stay within the first two stages of sleep. On that note, however, I will be the first to point out to myself that it is...

Easy exploit

So I've been playing through Book I again since I got tired of waiting for the new one and I remembered a little exploit that makes the game much, much easier to play. Basically, the longer you rest the more likely you are to be awakened by a fight, yes? So why bother resting for long periods of tim...
