You can get attacked when resting? I had thought that changed to book II because I finished the game once and never get attacked. Though I rested only rarely because mana was regenerating so fast.

Cost less skill points if you train divination to 8(3600gp) and read the book(~100gp) to get skill level to 10 and then use one skill point to total 11 in divination and buy a lore spell(~160gp). Cast at level 6 and voila. No more unidentified items.

Yeah elemental(=+2 to elemental skill) rings are also stackable but divination rings aren't.

Book II is way too easy if playing as a mage. First playthrough and didn't have any trouble at all. I don't think that I had to use potions before encountering the big bad(=small and puny) taurax general. Could have used haste potions couple times if I hadn't had haste spell.
