But when I open the quest window, and this quest I cannot complete stares at me, I get very frustated

I have a problem with the petrified wood for the "In the belly of the beetle" quest. I aquired it before I've gotten this quest and sold it. Also, the shop restocked before I found the quest giver (thanks to the Dragonlady, for the hint :wink:), so I can't get it back.
