Re: What's missing??
Gosh, I started playing book 2, so careful of my nooby comments. NOt missing, but the movement seems a bit annoying. I like when I click on an object and the character will move to that object. Would also have been nice to navigate via up-down-left-right arrow keys vs mouse (i'm sure there must bea...

Re: Seriously, I Just Don't Get Heavy Armor
Thanks everyone for your help. @ Anastasia, thanks. I can compare my current character to yours and see how they have diverged. With Bless I have about the same ToHit as you, when I equip a ring of Intense Focus (+5 CON). I focused on Endurance and added a few points to STR and CON taking them to 20...

Re: What's missing??
I have another thought. Am I the only one that could use more inventory space? I tend to keep at least one of every reagent placed in value order so when I forage the new reagents stack nicely. I also have maybe a dozen rings and other swappable armor like lock picking gloves that consume space. Now...

Seventh Start, an Adventure Unfolding
This story regales the the adventures of my seventh and a half start and attempt to play this game. I guess I'm slow to catch on. It contains spoilers! So I rolled until I achieved suitable initial stats; didn't take too long. Then I chose a male character. I'm still going for a sword wielding Fight...

I can carry about 144pounds, so I have room for stuff.

Seriously, I Just Don't Get Heavy Armor
It's too heavy for a Fighter class adventurer (no buffs). If equipped, there is no room for treasure. I'm not a town guard. It has identical armor ratings as Light Armor. What am I missing? It seems the Fighter is at a distinct disadvantage, as he must spent stat points on Strength and Concentratio...

Re: What's missing??
- Food Spoils (I'm hesitant about this one, especially concerning how long a handful of rat meat can last in the backpack of a ranger with 12 ranks of Foraging... but just the other day I pulled a Biscuit Ration off of a corpse in a marsh on the Forsaken Coast. The description said that he'd been t...

Re: What's missing??
Higher resolution , you know, like 1600x1200 or greater and HD/Wide-screen as well. But I can wait until Book III for this. Re: Help with four things [may contain spoilers]
You need a job. A source of income other than treasure and dropped beastie gold. Try Create Food or Foraging, my favorite. Go to work for 1-4 weeks make some money and train appropriate skills. 4. Your weapon can be enchanted and you can be blessed. Bless alone can give you an impressive "To Hi...

What were your INT, WIS and PER stats?Kreador Freeaxe wrote:I think it's just an increasing percentage chance for higher items, because I remember finding Dwarven Mellow Leaf and Dried Brainstem while camping with level 1 foraging.

Re: Foraging Redux
Does it?! 55 < 60, and you have Level 5 nabbing you up to 60 gold value reagents. Also, I think there's a separate 'cap' with Level 1 in Foraging (what my new Ranger character has right now! :) ) - I think the reagent item value cap may be 15 (gold) but I'm not 100% certain... You're right, me thin...

Re: Foraging Redux
I just found a Dwarvish Mellowleaf (value 55) at Foraging level 5 (same attributes as above), which breaks my chart. I was near the ocean east of Eastwillow. I don't really know if location had anything to do with it. Maybe its just random with a lower % chance to find at lower skill levels.

Re: Is Book II Easy or Hard??
I know (believe?) PowerGamers think its easy but I am starting my seventh character and still haven't entered the mines. I believe there are balance issues and buffs may be too powerful making the game easy when learned by the average player (me). So I voted for 2nd from top. Make a few changes and ...

Re: Foraging Redux
bump... I guess no one has ever raised there Foraging skill to 20. OK here is what I know from observation. Foraging Skill 20 (14, 2B, 4R) Starting Stats (no idea if or how these affect Foraging) INT = 15 WIS = 15 PER = 20 This table is not complete. Foraging skills not shown were not tested. Foragi...

Re: Foraging Redux
Your welcome, IJBall. When I first started foraging I thought one would find what was natural or common to the area. For instance, ectoplasm, mushrooms, Corpse Ash and Dried Brainstem if corpses or coffins are near and other reagents like Sulfur and Toadis Pollen in dungeons, maybe even Auricflax. W...
