Re: Instability with basiliskgames.com
Hmm, didn‘t notice anything.
We had a few thousand bots from China swarm the site and our host temporarily disabled us to shoo them away.
To those wondering, yes- we're still very much at work on the next game. We've spend the past few years doing a lot of contract work for other companies to ...

That is odd. Maybe clear Safari's cache / cookies?Kreador Freeaxe wrote: May 7th, 2025, 4:12 pm Oddly, I can get to the forums using Firefox, but not using Safari. I'm thinking it's something on Apple's end.
I have no problem reaching the forums via Firefox or Edge on Windows 11.

POLL: What makes a great RPG?
We're deep in development of our next RPG and have reached the point to ask: what do you think makes a great RPG?
You can select three options from the poll, or if I missed something, leave a comment.

We had a couple people reached out to say the forums were down, I didn't notice because they were up on my end. Error logs look clean.

PC mainly but would also use Deck and mobile/tablet (My current visit was pinged by the desire to learn if eschalon works on Deck)
We're currently reworking input on our current game to have a gamepad option for control so that Steam Deck users can play. This is, of course, in addition to the ...

The forums software has been updated, please report abnormalities.
I added a Style called "Blackboard" if you want a darker theme, it's under your User Control Panel / Board Settings. I'll be adding some other styles at some point, and eventually having a more customized Drunken Lizard Pub style ...

POLL: What are you gaming on
Hey everyone! I know we don't get much traffic through here these days, but we're still cooking over here in the Lair and need to know what platform our fans are using. Please select your primary go-to gaming setup.

Re: Another year 'round the Sun
Sorry, I'm a little late chiming in! Yes, happy 2025 to all!
What's happening over here? Same thing, different year. Still working through ideas, hopefully something evolves that will be worth sharing with the pub. I am putting more development effort into our games now, whereas in the past 3 years ...

Re: Another New Year!
Eschalon: Book III came out in 2014.
The year is now 2024 and Basilisk Games have released no new game for 10 years.
We've been told that the main developer of Basilisk Games is happy to work with other projects for income, otherwise they would have had to close their studio a few years ago ...

Hello everyone! It makes me so happy to see people still stopping by from time to time. I don't have a lot to tell you, just that we keep working on our projects, while also picking up other work (to pay the bills!) when it comes my way.

Re: Dungeon building
It's very problematic, and it hurts indie devs like us the most.
I'm not sure what we're going to do, just to "wait and see" for now. I'm hopeful that they will revise their policy, or maybe get bought by a bigger parent company that can manage the software better. Long term, if nothing changes ...
