Re: The Orakur are WHAT?! (spoils)

now about the orakur...who said they were aliens???? we don't know what they are!! bw has always suprized me with twists and turns and i'm sure book 3 will be no different.

This is true, but the mere fact that they looked like the picturesque greys from sci-fi just didn't react well with me.

I ...

Re: Why do you enjoy Rolling to determine character attribut

Yeah, this is one aspect of character creation in these two games that I strongly dislike. One simple change in it would make me happy with it: do not set-in-stone assign where each randomly rolled attribute goes. Let the player decide. This way, if you have it in mind to play a mage, you don't have ...

Re: Damage Display Incorrect

It might also be because of added damage from elemental enhancements. As I was playing more, I noticed when I switched to weapons without +1/2/etc. damage enhancements, less odd displaying would occur.

The Orakur are WHAT?! (spoils)

I'm not quite done with the game yet, but after running into the room with the you-know-what, my next save after that was titled: "you've got to be #@%*ing me!" I really like Eschalon in general, don't get me wrong; I suppose this plot device could be interesting. But I was expecting something a bit ...

 Nope. I suppose I might want to try that, huh? My guy isn't very conversational. That's my excuse, at any rate.

Re: Stuff I'm Looking Forward To

Oh, those stairs in the caves are driving me nuts too. I got all excited after I blew up that wall and saw the staircase, only to growl as the game wouldn't let me go down them.

I have this feeling that we never get to go down them. They're just there to tantalize us.

Witchlore (spoilers)

Is there supposed to be a quest associated with Witchlore? I went back to the guild to report on my recovery of the Crux of Fire, and Witchlore mages were mentioned as a potential ally to recruit. However, when I went up there to talk to the head mage, he had no dialogue option involving aiding me ...

And don't stand close to it when you do so.

Common sense, but hey, some people get a little careless.

Just keep checking shops, really. Or find them in a drop/chest/etc. Patience is a virtue.

Re: [HELP!!] How can I get to the island in Greenriven Lake?

Oh, the warning about the undead? Some of them are quite powerful and need to be wrestled through before you can get up to that island on the surface. I know when I first hit this place, my level was probably a little lower than it should have been and while I never actually *died* finishing this ...

No trouble! Loving the game so far regardless. I wish there were more games like this out on the market.

Re: Damage Display Incorrect

Okay, it took a little while, but I was able to more easily get a screen capture of this while playing it in windowed mode.

And since it is small and hard to see, a close up of what the damage number is above the enemy. I ...

Re: Damage Display Incorrect

On critical hits the damage would sometimes display correctly, strangely enough. But yes, I do have some items that add to damage; my sword adds +2 damage and +1 frost. It's been like that for a long time, though. I recently started using the various combat modes, especially the power mode. I didn't ...

Damage Display Incorrect

This is the first time I've noticed this particular issue since I've started playing the game and unfortunately it is very difficult to get a screenshot of, so I will describe what has been happening.

The damage indicators that appear above creatures when you hit them suddenly stopped matching the ...
