They are to the south-east of Blackwater. One map east (or two), then one south, IIRC. Here's a map showing where their hideout cave is located. http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/9836/loneloft2st4.jpg Note: the original map image taken from Amasius' post. Minor spoiler (hint): Bring a few torches w...

If memory serves (it's been awhile since I tried it), in Two Worlds you move with the WASD keys (the so-called First-Person Shooter style) and use the space bar for actions such as talking to NPCs and taking items. Mouse is used for fighting, Left-Clicks swing your weapon. Use number keys to activat...

Alternate way of quick travel

With countless game hours of travelling back and forth on the empty wastes of Crakamir, I know the pain of those who have complained that the character needs to be able to move faster. However, the walking speed in Book I is good for "normal" exploration, IMO. It's only when you need to co...

a pure point-buy system for character creation instead of the roll/buy hybrid of Book I I wholeheartedly agree! The rolling of stats in computer RPGs has always been very gamey and open to abuse, IMO. Pure point-buy system is a much, much better way of doing a character in CRPGs (and in PnP RPGs as...

Well, as everyone has already said, Book II needs to be bigger with larger towns, more land to explore, more NPCs, more dialog, more side quests, etc. etc. In addition, I'd like to see the combat system developed a bit further than "click until one of you is dead". Okay, I admit, that was ...

Yes, that would be great. In addition to in-game benefits (like more damage vs that enemy/monster), you'd get titles - like after killing 50 wolves, you get the title "Wolfsbane". If you want concrete in-game benefits from titles (instead of them being just "fluff"), some titles ...

Re: Crossbows?

It would differ from a normal bow in that you could hold it AND a torch or shield since you need just one hand to fire it, [GryphonMD] Sorry to nitpick, but realistically you need two hands to fire a crossbow, at least if you want to actually hit something (unless you're talking about pistol crossb...

I was juggling between options #1 and #2, and went with #2 because I would love to see a party-based Eschalon game. However, if the option #2 makes the game develoment take *reeeaaally* long, then I'd go with option #1.

For me, it's the combat system that is starting to irk me. To over-simplify, it's basically just a game of "whack-a-mole" in disguise, IMHO. Wait for the cursor to change, click, wait again, click, and so on. It aggrevates me, that you really cannot fight the way you want (e.g. attack, eva...

Maybe we should have a special topic just for hints and spoilers, so people who are just looking to know more about the game don't accidentally stumble upon spoilers? Yes, something like that would be nice. At the very least, people should clearly label their threads containing spoilers as such (e....
