Re: Unbalanced

As for the "you're not managing your character's development right".... To start, the player has to have more information on how things work to do that. As I've said, I can't find a manual. There doesn't appear to be one in the digital download and I still haven't yet received my disk copy so I ...

Re: Unbalanced

I would agree with everything DTravel has said about the game not being balanced, or at least having a lot of tedious elements. I would add:...

You're missing the point of this game. Most of the conveniences you're looking for are counter to the basic principle behind this game: old school. That ...

Completely unbalanced.
If you can elaborate on this, we'd love to try to make the game more enjoyable for you. From your other comments, it looks like you are finding the game too hard. However, a few others are finding it too easy, but most have told us it's just about right.

This is about the ...

I finally got in to the office. Wandered the wilderness running from everything except toothed salamanders at level 5 because all my hits generate "no damage incurred". Finally scrapped together a half-dozen spare weapons and used them all up to batter down the one door. Used the key and then ...

I can get to the corpse preparation room. If there is a door from it to the office, I can't find it. No door visible and moving the pointer along the walls doesn't highlite one.

I am finding the combat to be incredibly frustrating. First, I've been tracking the hit/miss results I get and they don't match to the percentages displayed. Second, the hit percentages are meaningless anyways since 80% of the player's supposed "hits" don't do anything. ("No damage incurred" is a ...

I've been thru the entire accessible part of the dungeon four times. If there is a second door in to that office it is inaccessible to me.

The key to the inner area can be found west of the worker in an office. Most of the rooms over there have more than one door - at least one is unlocked. After you have the key, work the dungeon in a counter clockwise direction - no need to go back to the center.
There are some offices west of the ...

Early Game (?) Spoiler wanted

I just got the game and have only been playing for a couple of hours (good work BTW). I'm trying to do the quest to recover "my" amulet from the crypt of Adler Keldam. I cleared the cemetary director's basement, got the dungeon key from him, found the cemetary and used the key to open the dungeon ...
