There is a short review of the game in #162 of the french video games newspaper "Canard PC" (page 10). The review is good, insisting on the old school aspect of the game, comparing it to Arcanum, Ultima and Wizardry.

The game is running perfectly on my Ubuntu box 8). It's a Dell Latitude D620, with intel integrated graphics, and Ubuntu Feisty Fawn is running on it. Thanks for the demo BasiliskWrangler ! I have installed Demo 1.4, and now I can't even see the game under my Ubuntu, the game window is displaying a part of the Gnome background ! Anyone else facing such behavior ?

I'd stay with the permadeath way. When death of your character is not a big deal (because you can load back a previous save, or continue from a spawning point), you tend to play uncautiously. Roguelikes are great for that : they have minimal graphics, but you care for your character like in no other...

Wouldn't it be nice ? A mode where you save only when you exit the game, you load only when you launch the game, and if you die, you just have to start from the beginning...
