That would really be a problem for those builds who rely on darkness.

Good, that saves me from going on an equally OT diatribe on the basic unfairness of many EULAs. That's exactly the discusion I didn't want to get into. It opens up a whole can of worms and I don't have the energy for that discussion. This whole "supporting piracy" by disabling an irritati...

Disregard my last post. I got distracted during it and it ended up going off topic. I'll just reiterate the point I was trying to make before letting myself move off... Cracks are certainly products of pirates. Cracking a game you have bought isn't pirating that game (it does break the license agree...

1). Using a crack is not piracy - it does not involve making an unauthorised copy of a program. Every crack I've seen requires the program concerned to be installed first. It occurs to me that you and I may be arguing over semantics. Let me be more clear, replace my previous uses of "piracy&qu...

<stuff> What you listed was justifications for using the products of piracy. Your second paragraph listed the way to not use piracy. Don't buy the product if the license agreement doesn't allow you to do what you want with it. Think about it, what does "supporting piracy" mean? There are ...

I'll just throw some food for thought on here. Everyone that downloads pirated versions of games or cracks for whatever reason, supports piracy. No matter what your personal justifications are for doing so, it still supports it. After all, if nobody downloaded anything illegally, there would be no r...

I played Helherron a lot and compiled this info for 2.02. The party based combat was great. A lot could be improved upon, but the game was a lot of fun. 8 character party! The tactical combat was simple but fun. Brought back memories of the Gold Box games. I think I've come to want the first trilogy...

Rogues do just fine. One thing to remember is that you don't need to bump a skill up every level for it to be useful. Hide in Shadows of around 10 is really good, but you don't even need it that high to be very useful. While you don't get backstab bonuses, you don't really need them, because Hide in...

I'd certainly play this trilogy with the same engine, and hope for another game that is party based.

This is the reason I'm a pack rat. Every single item in the game that I wasn't sure about or looked unique I'd stick in chests and barrels so that if I need it later on, I can go get it. Since the game only requires 4 items to complete, I'm okay with everything being sellable/destroyable (except tho...
